dsp offers award winning IT Consultancy and Database Managed Services for Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and Cloud, including Azure. dsp’s mission is to be at the forefront of how databases are managed using its ‘Continuous Maintenance’ vision which embraces automation, devops and Cloud.

dsp’s Consultants offer expert help with formulating strategy, quantifying business benefits, identifying opportunities and implementing solutions that best meet customer requirements using the Microsoft or Oracle Solution Stack.

The candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in the architecture, design and implementation of solutions based on Oracle database, often in complex technical environments. As well as contributing to new solutions, our Consultants are involved in the troubleshooting of existing customer deployments, providing issue resolution and performance tuning expertise, and the production of “next steps” recommendations for removing the root cause of issues. Our consultants are high calibre individuals, who are able to formulate commercially aware designs and articulate these effectively to our clients.

The Consultants also provide production support for mission critical systems and are part of the on-call rota.

It is important that Consultants are commercially aware as we act as trusted advisors on strategic solutions. An understanding of the entire ‘application to disk’ technology stack is of great benefit. dsp approaches work using a ‘dsp Vision’ methodology which requires an aptitude to map out a customer journey to a desired outcome.

The Consultants contribute to the effectiveness of the dsp’s Oracle Community through the creation of white-papers and demonstrations. Their passion to be technically competent drives them to present a compelling image of dsp and its products & services.

Consultants will be expected to keep their knowledge up-to-date via SIG, Conferences and training but there is also an expectation of self-development.
