How much of your EBS data do you actually still need?

Regulatory bodies such as HMRC require financial records to be retained for seven years, but not necessarily inside your live EBS system. In practice, most organisations keep everything indefinitely, because the risk of deleting the wrong thing feels greater than the cost of keeping it all.
