DSP Role Summary

The IT Project Manager will report directly to the Head of Professional Services and will be responsible for ensuring projects are managed effectively, delivered on time, within budget and scope. The IT Project Manager will manage projects through the full lifecycle (e.g. Initiation, Requirements, Business Case, Design, Build, Test & Live) and document/manage as living documents the project plan, issues, actions risks and dependencies.

While managing these projects the IT Project Manager will work closely with the sales, DBA and development teams, in conjunction with our customers.

In addition, they will facilitate workshops or presentations relevant to the progression of the project while maintaining constant communication with project stakeholders and management to report on progress.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of our key customer projects, ensuring they are getting maximum benefit from their investment. Tasks include:

  • Coordinate internal resources and customers/third parties for the seamless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Developing project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as required.
  • Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Experience and Background 

  • Previous experience in IT Project Management.
  • In depth and recent experience in Oracle and Microsoft technologies including Cloud.
  • A track record in the coordination of teams.
  • Experience working in a multi-customer environment.
  • Demonstrable track record in delivering technological environments.
  • Highly analytical in problem solving with the ability to apply original and innovative thinking.

  • Experience of identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies, and building mitigation plans.

Location / Special Requirements
