Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Oracle APEX
Overview
NHBC is the UK's leading provider of warranty and insurance for new-build homes, focused on raising construction standards and protecting homeowners nationwide. NHBC identified an opportunity to modernise their ageing applications and migrate from a third-party hosting environment to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). DSP was chosen as the technology partner for this project due to our extensive expertise in Oracle APEX application development and Oracle Cloud.

NHBC decided to rebuild its legacy applications in Oracle APEX and migrate their operations to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. To achieve this transformation, they chose DSP as their expert Oracle partner. DSP's experienced Oracle APEX developers were integrated directly into NHBC's development team, working full-time for over two years to deliver the new APEX applications. As different applications were migrated, a major challenge was to keep the data up to date in both the existing legacy database and the new OCI environment. This was managed using a combination of Oracle GoldenGate and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) to ensure seamless, real-time data synchronisation throughout the transition period.
Business Continuity
DSP ensured business continuity throughout the migration by expertly managing real-time data synchronisation, minimising disruption to NHBC's operations.
Application Modernisation
DSP provided their expertise and modernised NHBC's ageing applications to a flexible and robust Oracle APEX solution, improving performance and scalability.
