In 2015 BFC opted to outsource the management and hosting of their infrastructure to Blue Chip Group. However, Blue Chip did not have Oracle database expertise in house and required a reliable database partner to work with their service desk.

The Challenge

IBM experts Blue Chip do not have Oracle database expertise in house and required a reliable database partner to work with their service desk. In 2015 to secure the future of BFC, the bank was expected to meet regular technology stress tests (i.e. for faster payments) by the Bank of England.

BFC’s business-critical third-party banking applications (Olympic Banking System) runs on Oracle software.
