SQL Server 2008 End of Life

In July 2019 SQL Server 2008 moved out of Microsoft's Extended Support period. This means no further security updates, reduced maintenance options and headaches, especially considering that SQL 2008 still very much 'does the job' for many organisations. So, if you're looking for SQL Server 2008 End of Life support, you're at the right place!

SQL Server 2008 End of Life

DSP has created a SQL Server 2008 Bitesize portfolio, a 'quick win' range of services designed to help you migrate to a new platform with minimum fuss, whilst keeping your future options open.

Now that SQL Server 2008 has reached its End of Life you can consider:

  • Migrating SQL Server 2008 to Azure i.e. 'Lift and Shift'

  • Modernising using SQL Managed Instance

  • Upgrading to SQL Server 2017 (and ultimately migrating later)

Assess. Deploy. Optimise.

Through our ADO methodology and our dedicated SQL Server 2008 End Of Life services, we'll review your current SQL database estate, deploy a POC (should you wish) to help you establish value and discuss/deliver a modernisation plan for the rest of your Microsoft database estate.
